El Incidente del T/V PORT STEWART consiste en el encallamiento de un tanquero de 176 m de eslora con siete millones de galones de petroleo abordo, en hábitat de arrecife de coral en la costa sureste de Puerto Rico cerca de Yabucoa. Aunque la embarcación fue rescatada y removida el mismo día del encallamiento sin ningún derrame de petróleo, el Incidente dañó y destruyó especies de corales e impactó la estructura del arrecife de coral y el ecosistema a través de más de 500m2 de hábitat de arrecife de coral.

The T/V PORT STEWART Incident involved the grounding of a 176m tank vessel carrying seven million gallons of oil, grounded in coral reef habitat on the southeast coast of Puerto Rico near the entrance to Yabucoa Channel. Although the vessel was refloated and removed the day of the grounding without discharging any product, the Incident injured and destroyed coral species and impacted the coral reef structure and ecosystem in over 500m2 of coral reef habitat.
